USEFUL INFORMATION - FAQ

You can rent the boats with or without a skipper, but a boat license is required for every rental. All boats are fully equipped with necessary equipment such as anchors, ropes, life jackets, first aid kits, paddles, and more, as well as proper signaling equipment like lights and horns. The boats will be provided in good condition, clean, and with a full tank of fuel, which will be charged to the charter. If any damages occur due to the carelessness of the renter, they will be responsible for up to 300€.In addition to renting boats on the island of Murter, we also engage in organizing daily boat excursions for groups to the Kornati National Park.

Book in advance

When you book in advance you will almost always get a better deal than at the counter. And it’s easier and quicker. Be sure to take all your documents with you as proof of hire and your rates to avoid any hassles (scan and save in your email account).

Check prices frequently

Just like when you search for boats it pays to check prices frequently as they do change – different periods can have different rates in preseason, postseason or in the middle of summer season in Murter - Croatia. Anyway check them in right time.

Communication

Wherever you are sailing, communication is vital. You should take your cell phone with you and make sure you know how to use the onboard radio. Take a list of numbers with you so that you know who to contact if you ever get into difficulty.

Don’t Under & Over pack

Finding the balance of what to bring along on boat rentals is the key. Extra water, extra non-perishable snacks and extra hats or towels…all examples where more is better! Overdress

Of course boating is almost always a casual affair so high heels can be left onshore. However, the temps and weather conditions can change quickly. A hat, an extra layer or even a dry set of clothes can come in handy when the boating adventure is going down.

Age requirements

Age requirements to rent a boat in Croatia is 18 yrs and you must own a boat driving licence. "Boats don’t have brakes like a car and, in addition to no brakes, water current, wind, weather and other boaters all can play a significant factor in operating.”

Are boats well maintained?

Before deciding to rent a boat you need to make sure that the boat is in good working order and that it has been well maintained. Safety Equipment

Shoes off, please!

It sounds like a trivial request to the non-boater; but soles scuff clean boats. The best way to show your lack of boating chops…get on the boat with shoes! Second, feel free without them on your legs ;)
