the Mediterranean. Regardless of whether you look at the Kornati Islands from the air, from the sea, or from sightseeing points on the islands, the view is equally impressive – and yet different to the eye every single time. Every
vista is more than worth experiencing, and every perspective worth examining. Dry stone walls on the Kornati Islands are silent and steadfast witnesses to hard work on modest soil on stone surrounded by crystal-clear sea. The Kornati Islands are the stone pearls of the Mediterranean.

Located 15 kilometres from Sibenik, Skradin is a romantic Mediterranean town with narrow cobbled streets, passages, arches and stairs and is located at the entrance to Krka National Park. The entire town of Skradin is a protected
cultural heritage monument.
SKRADIN
Its history dates back two thousand years, accounting for the notable archaeological sites in the local vicinity. Under the current name Skradin is mentioned already in the tenth century. It is located on the right bank of river
Krka and all until recently has been hiding its beauty sheltered in a natural bay. Today, Skradin’s charms may be seen by any traveller making a stop at the most beautiful rest area of the Zagreb-Split highway and the beautiful bridge
from which an unforgettable view may be admired. With its beauty, Skradin has been attracting many conquerors in the history, being devastated on several occasions. It was ruled by old Liburnian, Romans, Goths, Venetians and Turks.
NATIONAL PARK KRKA
The largest part of this amazing river’s course is the national park, which in addition to its natural phenomena abounds with cultural and historical monuments. The most outstanding of these is the Franciscan monastery on the tiny island
of Visovac, set in the middle of the lake widening in the river like a precious stone. Within the monastery there is a picture gallery and a church, origins of which are traced back to the 14th century. In the middle of the canyon,
upstream of the river, is an interesting Krka Orthodox monastery; while on the high ground above the river several old ruins sit. The old mills, which have been transformed into small ethnographic museums where one can see how
wheat was ground in the olden days, are a popular attraction for visitors. Heritage interpreters are dressed in traditional folk costumes, which is particularly interesting and entertaining for children, who are frequent visitors of
the park. However, the main attraction of Krka National Park lies in its seven waterfalls. The widest of these is Roški slap, although Skradinski buk is the biggest and most well known.
The Murter Sea is the largest sea area between the Sibenik and Zadar Archipelago. Its surface is 210 square kilometers and its maximum depth is 94 meters. The island of Murter attracts all those looking for ecologically preserved nature.
ISLAND OF MURTER
The name of the island of Murter covers the watershed that is bordered by the Murterska canal in the southwest of the islands of Kaprije, Kakanj and Žirje in the south, in the south by the Tisno gate, in the southwest of the Kornati
islands, in the northwest by Velika Prova and the small islands of Mali Tremulic, Božikovac and Mali Balabru, north of the central canal, the Zadar islands of Gangara and Murvenjak, and finally the Vrgadski canal and the islets of Artica
vela i Artica mala. In the middle of this area, which has become one of the most attractive and most visited boating areas in Europe, is the Murtersko more.
MURTER SEA
On the northeastern side of the Murter Sea is the island of Murter, northwest, southwest and south is surrounded by the Kornati, and on its southeastern side are known Siberian islands of Zirje, Kakan and Kaprije.
In the middle of the southeastern edge of the Murter Sea there are Tetovišnjaci - a group of five islands and a cliff. Clearly recognizable and recognizable, Tetovšnjaci are a good guide to navigating a nurturing but silent Murters sea.
Even though it is small in scope, the Murter Sea must not be underestimated. It is exposed by strong Rehut winds and sudden changes of wind and strong sea currents, so yachtsmen in its waters always have to be careful.
ISLANDS AROUND
Unlike the Kornati islands, which are geographic and geomorphologic units, the islands around the island of Murter and the Murter Sea are grouped into several island groups and are (proprietary) entities. Residents of
Murter and Murter and Betina are also owners of 134 Kornati islands, including all 89 overland land units in the National Park "Kornati".
In addition, the owners of the Murter island are also owners of 55 other overland land units, six of which are located in Zadar's administrative boundaries, and six more within the city limits of Šibenik. The overseas possessions of the
inhabitants of the island of Murter and the Kornati archipelago comprise 207 overland land units (islands and rocks).
The Adriatic may be small in comparison to other seas, but each of its many archipelagos is a microcosmos in itself, telling its own story – be it a special island vibe, or special weather and sea conditions. The waters around Sibenik are one of the six larger archipelagos in the Adriatic.
ADRIATIC JEWEL
This jewel located in the very middle of the Croatian waters is affectionately called the belly button of the Adriatic. Still spared the summer hubbub of party yachts turning the nearby Split waters into a never-ending rave, the Sibenik archipelago is lucky to have many uninhabited islands – the first of the many meditation-inspiring details that will allow your mind to roam.
In the waters around Sibenik, people are more friendly than the sea: several large underwater rocks and sand banks, as well as varying sea depth due to presence of many islands call for attention.

Telascica Bay is located in the central part of the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, in the south-eastern part of the island of Dugi Otok. Telascica acquired the status of a protected area already in 1980 because of its valuable
flora and fauna, geological and geomorphological phenomena, versatile sea bottom life, and interesting archaeological heritage.
NATURE PARK TELASCICA
For its extreme beauty, richness and importance, this bay surrounded by 13 islands and islets, together with 6 islets inside the bay itself, was proclaimed a Nature Park in 1988.
The area of Nature Park Telascica is a distinctly contrasted area with quiet and peaceful beaches and a laid down coastline on one side, and wild and steep cliffs on the other, an area of Aleppo pine and holm oak forests on one side,
and barren karst on the other, an area of cultivated fields covered in vineyards and olive groves, but also an area of degraded forms of vegetation covering dry habitats.
Three basic phenomena represent the basic characteristics of this area: the unique Telascica Bay as the safest, most beautiful and largest natural port of the Adriatic with 25 small beaches, the cliffs of Dugi Otok or the so-called
“stene” rising up to a height of 161 metres above the sea and reaching down to a depth of 90 metres, and the salt lake “Mir” with its medicinal properties. The most picturesque among the islands is the Katina Island, and the most unusual
one is certainly Taljuric. The total surface area of the Nature Park is 70.50 km2, with 25.95 km2 on Dugi Otok and the neighbouring islets, and 44.55 km2 at sea.
